This is a great time of year to see art at gallery openings and in new exhibits. Be sure to look at the upcoming events on the Twin Cities Fine Arts Organization's home page. There is even an opportunity to have you contribute to this blog and win art!
It was fun to see artist's tempting the impending winter cold to paint outdoors like Michael Vrudny at Lake Harriet last weekend.
On December 6 from noon to three be sure to check out "Art Buzz" featuring Anjee Mai Emerson, Haley Champion, Valerie Olejnicak and Sarah Trembley is an event at the Dunn Bros Coffee shop at 4611 Excelsior Blvd in St. Louis Park.
Also, Metro Magazine recently mentioned Momentary Performances - a wonderful art creation.

Tales of Change
A show opened at The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at St. Catherine University over the weekend titled Gemma: Tales of Change.
It is a show of work by Gemma Rossini Cullen, who is highly interested in the beauty of nature and the process of transformation, such as changes of the body, psyche and soul. In one series of images, a girl is slowly transformed over the course of five drawings to complex scene of movement and shapes that resembles a face. It will surely captivate you.
The show runs now through December 16. Don't miss it!

What would you do with 64?

Ryan Kielblock knows what to do with crayons. He creates innovative sculptures, something he started doing long ago when we all probably had that box of 24 and envied those with 64! Other pieces are online on his Facebook profile.
